THE PLATFORM / MOCK EXAMS
A checkpoint.
With something to learn from.
Work through a timed assessment, then review more than the final percentage. Look at the decisions, pacing and recurring areas that can shape your next preparation cycle.
AN ASSESSMENT, FOLLOWED THROUGH
- 01 Complete the timed blocks.
- 02 Administration reviews the result.
- 03 Your tutor helps interpret the pattern.
- 04 Choose the work that comes next.
BEFORE YOU START
Know what you are opening.
Your dashboard shows mock examinations made available through your Step access, an individual grant or a tutor assignment. Read the assessment information and any assignment note before starting. Choose a setting where you can work through the configured blocks without avoidable interruptions.
- Check which examination and assignment you are starting.
- Allow time for all configured blocks.
- Use a stable connection and a suitable device.
- Read your tutor’s note and any due date.
01 / COMPLETE
Stay with the active block.
The examination player shows the current block, its remaining time and question navigation. Save answers as you go and use flags to revisit questions within that block. Once you move on or a block expires, it closes. The server maintains the deadline, so leaving the page or losing connectivity does not pause the assessment.
02 / REVIEW
Let the assessment be checked.
Submission sends the attempt to the Results to review queue. Administration can inspect responses and record an exclusion if a question is flawed. An excluded item is removed from both the correct count and the scored total. Students receive a result only after release; answer and explanation access is controlled separately.
03 / PLAN
Turn the result into your next move.
After release, compare the overall result with the breakdowns by subject, system, topic and task. The number of items in each group matters. Your tutor can use the attempt together with previous work and external assessments to draft a longitudinal report with specific priorities for preparation.
A preparation result, in its proper context.
ABC-123 percentages describe performance on the questions scored in this platform. They are not official USMLE scores or a validated prediction of an examination outcome. Use the result alongside your wider preparation and the interpretation provided by your tutor.
Make room for a useful checkpoint.
Discuss your Step, intended examination date and current preparation with ABC-123. Existing students can sign in to see the mock exams and assignments available to them.
